a letter from stillness

“For small creatures such as ourselves, the vastness is bearable only through love,” wrote Carl Sagan.

A deep silence pervades in this love. Awe, yes, for what we might in fact be about. And also a great clarity.

What then, if amid the tension of our perceived realities we open our eyes long enough to glimpse a love letter from stillness to us. A wildflower, a raindrop, the Milky Way.

What if for the briefest of moments we glimpse that we are this stillness itself? Before. Before the worlds of our opinions, beliefs and thoughts?
