extravagance
Within the cherry tree a violin trembles.
A child stains her lips with sweet juice
In the heart of a peach.
On the east wind a lover tastes her first slow kiss.
An elephant runs from the heart of a forest
Iinto a tidal wave to rescue someone.
Did you not tell me, all this just happens
There where words like cause and effect lose meaning?
In this fullness I want to dissolve.
A ray of light merges with earth, oxygen, water.
Bursts forth as peacock, peony, peach, you and I, elephant, ocean and fish.
Such extravagance cannot die.
You give us no answers.
A fire rises, flames dancing and dying, concealing, revealing
The stillness of that which is knowing.
