for the time being
For the time being
A relentless restlessness:
What does it seek? Just happiness.
Outside the window a river of stars sets sail.
On the drift of clouds, a whisper of diamonds
Falls from the sun.
For the being in time
All of creation swells upward:
It wants to grasp this astonishing reality.
You are not really afraid. Not always.
But caught in the world, your vision was clouded.
In sleep, at last time vanishes.
Peace overcomes the poor entwined lover.
In the garden butterflies billow into the dawn.
Grasses sing dew drops alive amid tasseling seeds.
Why speak when you awaken, my friend?
Being is just
This.
