still-point

The Periodic Table: About 118 elements currently. Barely over one hundred building blocks for a universe. Billions of years of elemental energies and particles, ever changing configurations. We are made of this, the result of this, belong. We also are a mere shimmer. In what we perceive as a world, “us.”

An imponderable amount of thoughts have arisen and faded. Innumerable feelings, creative ideas, possibilities. The experience of experience.

Around the still point nothing permanent. We are aware of this. This dazzling silence in potential. Our deep, shared humanity. But only experience is our gateway to living this awareness.

How often are we really present for experience? Without chasing future or past. Without multi-tasking. What is it like to appreciate what is happening, right now?

Experiment with direct experience. We might unlock something new. We might have an insight directly from still point, unclouded by thinking mind.

Falling through the gateway. Well-being. Falling into creativity: Elemental.

Franz Kafka: “You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen, simply wait, be quiet, still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet.”
