bowing into belonging

Six words, by Hafiz: “May I please bow to you?”

Sigh.

The pandemic has done away with hugs, the rapid-fire of airbrush kisses. A deeper way of connecting now. The truth of Namaste.

This word that calls us by our true name. This word that brings about the essence of oneness, a recognition of the nature of reality.

Its oft-used translation: ““The divine light in me bows to the divine light within you.”

About that divinity: A lot of well-meant advice seeks to fix us. Have you noticed? Personalities, habits, beliefs, thoughts, even memories and how to dream. We are supposed to improve. Be more confident, happy, successful, authentic, aspirational. More. Something. Out there. But what if we can simply remember? Right here? Nothing to fix.

I honor the place in you that is as it is in me, the place where this universe dwells. In bowing I remember home. I recollect in clarity. May I please?

Fullness undeniable. Namaste. Life as it unfolds. Reality. In the moment. Nothing other than silence witnessing change. The truth of what is and has always been. An unconditional affection.

From there, oh wow, the cool things we can create, the great things we can live, the beauty of surrendering to this leadership!

Try it?
